BIG News

We have a lot of new stuff going on in our lives. We apologize for not being to able to share our news with everyone personally, either in person or with a phone call. So we decided to create this Web Log to share our experiences, and keep everyone up to date on what is happening. So here it goes!

1. Mike passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam (PE), and is now a Professionally Licensed engineer in the State of Wisconsin. What a huge relief! To find out what a professional engineer means, click here.

2. And even bigger news.....Jenny is expecting and is due on January 24th, 2007! We plan to give daily or weekly updates, along with UltraSound pictures of the baby as we get them. We already have a few pictures, we just need to get them posted here.

We would love to hear from you. You can respond to us on this website (just click on the line below that says comments, and write something), or send an email, or give us a call! We hope this will be fun for everybody!

Great to hear both of the news items! Boy, are you in for a change! Enjoy the next few months of relative freedom (and I mean BOTH of you, alone and together). As Bill Murry said in 'Lost in Translation'..."your life, as you know it, is gone".

But don't let me scare you too much. It's a very different life, but a great one, full of joy and laughter. Just not happy hours so much.

Megan and I are doing pretty well. After doing my three years in Texas (three different jobs to boot), we're back here in Denver, and loving it. Nice to be so close to her family, and it's only a 12 hour drive to Iowa instead of 17 or 18 hours. Megan went to culinary school while we were down south and now she's working part time for Sodexho, who manages all of the food service for Denver University. She mostly makes cakes, cookies, and other baked goods for events and for sale at various outlets across campus, but also helps out for large events like cenferences and such. It's great that she was able to find a job where she can work weekends and a day or two during the week, so she is still able to be a full-time mommy.

This is a great idea. thanks for including me on your address list! Take care, I hope to hear more from you soon, and I'll shoot you some pics of our growing family (growing up, not growing out).

Nathan,

Hey, Thanks for being the very first one to post a comment! I appreciate it.

We were tentatively planning a trip out to Estes Park next summer, but now, it is looking a little doubtful. We have also been talking about making a winter trip out to Colorado to go skiing, but once again, not sure when that is going to happen either. Oh well, that's the way it goes.

Take care and I'll be in touch.

Way to go on the PE, Mike! The blog is a pretty good idea (maybe I'll copy it...). And I get a bonus update on Silby's world.

Denise,

I saw the Cubs score in this morning's newspaper....Ouch. Prior doesn't have it anymore, it appears. I went to a game at Wrigley at the end of June and it was a great day, especially because the Brewers beat the Cubs that day.

Thanks for checking out the site! We plan to make a lot of postings.

Hi Jenny & Mike,
We got your Christmas card with all the news in it. I didn't know you were pregnant Jenny. I asked Uncle Bob and he said he knew! Oh well, what can I say. Jenny, you are a picture of your mother! I looked at your picture and saw Betty right away.
Good to hear from you both.
Take care and let us know when the baby arrives. I imagine Mom Mom will let us know.
She still hasn't sold her house in Palm Coast and Kathy hasn't sold hers either. I think she's contented to stay down here for the winter!
I'll check in with your web page again.
Love ya all,
Aunt Nancy
